Time for tickets
I attended seven Real Salt Lake home games this year. I would have liked to attend more, but lack of funds, failing to plan ahead and work obligations made it tough. I did subscribe to the MLS internet broadcasts and eventually watched every match this season, including every glorious minute of the MLS Cup Final.
While I don't hang out on the Big Soccer boards all day or watch match replays over and over, I read every mainstream media article and most of the fan blogs, and consider myself a pretty big RSL fan. Now I'm ready to become a season ticket holder.
So my question is: what's the best option? Cheapest seats possible? Any particular section? Do I join a supporters group? Which one? (I know Denz is a Rogue Cavalier Brigade guy.) Looking for some advice from anyone on here, or maybe some fellow committed fans to sit and watch with. Or anyone else's experiences with buying season tickets or joining supporters clubs would be useful too. What say you?

Shums
I for years have been a member of the RCB, but with my time and focus having shifted to my blog and taking pictures I am now just a guy on the sidelines taking pictures.
I would say that if you are looking to watch the matches live at the stadium being in a supporter group probably isn’t the best way to do that. I haven’t heard of anyone ever saying their seats are bad at Rio Tinto. If you want to go and make each match an experience, then find a supporters group to be a part of, their is nothing better than standing, jumping, singing, and going crazy each and every home match.
I truly believe that the experience of being part of a supporter group, hanging out before the matches in the tailgate lot, having fun and getting ready for the match, and then being with a bunch of people who share your passion for RSL during the match is one of the best things MLS has to offer sports fans int he US. I am sure there will be another supporter open house in Jan or Feb out at Rio Tinto, so keep your eyes and ears open and come out and meet all the groups and see who has more in common with you.
