The details of the RSL trade with LA

So RSLGM just tweeted:Took care of a veteran player in moving him where his wife's family is. All the best Clint we wish you well! RSLGM

This was the trade that saw RSL swap Clint and the 16th pick for the 15th pick in the draft.  Why not just trade him for a low draft pick, this seemed strange to me but I wish Clint all the best.  I have found him to be one of the good guys in MLS and I love his give and take with the fans (can't forget him rubbing his tummy, after a round of "Clint Mathis... Body by Budwieser" chants when he was with the Rapids.
