A cynical and bitter sports fan has some surprisingly mild things to say about the slow start to our season.
Four points in five games is at the forefront of RSL chatter right now. During most championship defending seasons this is where I'd be grabbing my torch and pitchfork. Hell, this is the first year in 5 that I haven't wanted blood from the FO/Head Coach at this point.
More after the jump
The difference this year is that we just had some tough games to get out of the way. No fan would be very upset if losses against LA, Columbus, and Houston came in 3 separate months. Its just a tough pill to swallow all at once. The trick will be to not let the disappointment cripple us. We could have played better games against Houston and Seattle, those results are in the books and dwelling won't change them. We can't let it weigh on us any longer.
3 of our 6 hardest road games are out of the way. For the record, I'm looking at Seattle, NYRB, and the crapids as the other 3. Sorry TFC, you just don't scare me, this might change after tomorrow.
If we don't get at least 12 points this month I'll be mad. If we don't get 9, we're in serious trouble. I'd hate for this optimism in me to die with the month of may.
See you at the RioT
