Robbie Findley says "wait a minute
So after his agent said Robbie was leaving RSL after this season, today some clarification
I am hoping that this doesn't become the distraction of the summer, I would have thought Robbie's agents drama with Yura last summer might have been educational. Then again we are talking about a sports agent.
It is good to know that Robbie is indeed keeping all his options open.

Robbie needs to do something to avoid serious drama.
1. Fire the agent. This would prove to the fans and the team that it really wasn’t the case. Show that he’s not ‘that guy’.
2. Score a goal already. You don’t have to fire your agent this way, and you can show that you might have some production this year. This would work out best for everyone, including the european teams that are unlikely to sign a player that doesn’t score goals.
3. Go to Europe. Thats right. If you don’t want to get rid of this asshole drama warlord agent, and your donkey feet just won’t allow you to score a goal. Leave.
The lack of production might be due to JK’s penchant for tinkering with the lineup. I liked Robbie enough that 0 goals in 7 games (no, I don’t count the open cup) didn’t bother me. Until his agent tried using the media to leverage his personal gains. This isn’t the NBA and Robbie is no Deron Williams. I don’t think I’m the only fan thats pissed off at him over this debacle.
Agents don't get it
It is clear that agents don’t get or care about the relationship with fans, they don’t care or understand the impact of this type of thing on the organization, and in this case, this agent would love RSL to take the approach of avoiding drama to get them to let Robbie go for less than his full value.
He has a agent who knows that it is a World Cup summer, and it should surprise nobody that as soon as Robbie and his agent knew he would be called to camp and has a good shot of making the 23 man roster, he was going to make it clear to parties in Europe that his client was available. From his perspective, Robbie’s value between now and June 3rd when the 23 man roster may be as high as it gets. If he makes the roster for South Africa, he gets another bump, but if he doesn’t make the 23, then his value will drop off a bit.
You’re absolutely right.
I never wanted to get upset with one of my favorite players. It is all on the agent.
He got a goal tonight, and could have had two if he’d been a little trickier (read:chipshot).
The problem is trying to leverage your employers when you have no fulcrum (goals) to lean against. Robbie handled it well by speaking up.
