Real Salt Lake vs. Arabe Unido - Prematch stuff

I am not an expert on most teams outside of RSL, I am not knowledgeable about most teams outside of MLS, and I know nothing about teams from Panama.  So I am going to leave previewing the group, and the match up to others:

I will update with more as I get them.  Here is a link to the official game guide with mostly RSL info and after the jump is the 100 Lions Rosters for the match:

Star-divide

Well it is clear by the projected lineup for the match that RSL is taking this match very seriously as you can see by this projected lineup:

GK: Nick Rimando
DF: Robbie Russell, Jamison Olave, Nat Borchers, Chris Wingert
MF: Kyle Beckerman; Will Johnson, Ned Grabavoy; Javier Morales
FW: Alvaro Saborío, Fabian Espíndola

Getting a couple goal victory at home against an unknown opponent will not be an easy thing, but with this lineup is capable of beating any team in the competition so, expect an exciting match.

If you want to see the full rosters for both teams here is the RSL vs Arabe Unido 100 Lions Roster Sheet

I will be there!

Looking forward to it! And I’m hoping there will be a big crowd. Do you know how big the crowd will be?

It is in the season ticket package

and they have offered $15 seats, so I think we will get a good size crowd. I would say about 14,000 is what I would like to see at the low end.

Very excited for this!

How many subs are each team allowed? Is it the usual 3 or is it more like it is in Open Cup?

by BW801 on Aug 17, 2010 9:18 PM MDT reply actions

It is 3

FIFA type rules for this tournament, not the willy nilly rules of US Soccer and the Open Cup.
