Real Salt Lake midfielder Luis Gil has been called back from duty with the U.S. Under-20s in a bid to strengthen RSL's lineup against Seattle Sounders.

Gil, who tweeted that he returned to Salt Lake City this afternoon, is likely to feature in the right-central midfield spot usually occupied by Ned Grabavoy.

At training earlier today, Jason Kreis revealed that Ned Grabavoy has about a "10 percent" chance of playing against Seattle. With Will Johnson (CAN) certainly out and Kyle Beckerman (USA) unlikely to feature, Kreis opted to strengthen his midfield ranks.

It marks the umpteenth time that Luis Gil has been called back from a youth national team camp, with the earliest in memory being the Milk Cup in 2011. Regardless, Gil seems in high spirits about the affair.

Gil's return gives Kreis a potential midfield of Yordany Alvarez, Gil, Jonny Steele and Javier Morales, with Sebastian Velasquez and David Viana likely bench options. Beckerman may also feature on the bench, supposing he doesn't play against Guatemala on Tuesday, but remains unlikely to play.
