2013 second round SuperDraft pick Devon Sandoval has officially signed with Real Salt Lake, bringing the squad ever-closer to completion as the season draws near.

Sandoval, 21, who RSL general manager Garth Lagerwey describes as a "true No. 9," attended the University of New Mexico and was the player for whom Lagerwey worked out a two-draft-pick trade with Philadelphia Union during the SuperDraft.

Sandoval trained with Real Salt Lake for a week during summer 2012, where he impressed during his short stint.

"This is a dream come true," Sandoval said in a club press release. "After being able to train with the team last summer I knew that this was where I wanted to be. To have it work out like I actually wanted it to, which is very unlikely in soccer, is a great feeling. I'm ecstatic, super happy and couldn't ask for much more."

Sandoval, 6'1", is the third striker to officially sign with the club since the offseason, following Joao Plata and Robbie Findley. Colombian striker Olmes Garcia, 20, should be signing with the club shortly.
