Rio Tinto Stadium will host a June 18 World Cup Qualifier pitting the U.S. against Honduras, reports confirmed today.
ESPN700 sports personality and Real Salt Lake broadcaster Bill Riley confirmed earlier reports that RSL's stadium will host the vital international match.
Grant Wahl had previously broken information during a Twitter argument that Salt Lake City was likely to host on that date.
Rio Tinto Stadium will also host a set of Gold Cup matches this summer; the U.S. is expected to be one of the teams playing in Salt Lake City, while Costa Rica is expected to be one of the others.
(Update, 10:30 a.m.) Aaron Falk, Salt Lake Tribune's RSL reporter, said the Gold Cup matches scheduled are on July 13: USA v. Cuba and Costa Rica v. Belize.
