Match Thread: USA v. Costa Rica, FIFA 2014 World Cup Qualifier

USA TODAY Sports

Real Salt Lake stalwarts Nick Rimando, Tony Beltran, and Kyle Beckerman are on the bench for the U.S., while striker Alvaro Saborio starts for Costa Rica in a snow-strewn Dicks Sporting Good Park.

Rather than deploy a genuine right back (cough — Tony Beltran), US Men's National Team manager Jurgen Klinsmann opted to deploy Geoff Cameron wide.

It's hard to imagine Nick Rimando seeing time on the pitch, while Beltran and Beckerman are perhaps a bit more likely to make the match. Of course, it could be cancelled at any time if this snow doesn't let up, so that's always a possibility, too.

Right, join us here and let's talk about Real Salt Lake, the USMNT, and how the match affects Saturday's match. And, you know, basically anything else that comes up.

Starting Lineups

USA: Guzan; Cameron, Gonzalez, Goodson, Beasley; Jones, Bradley; Zusi, Dempsey (c), Gomez; Altidore

Costa Rica: Navas; Gamboa, González, Miller, Umaña, Oviedo; Bolaños, Ruiz, Barrantes, Rodríguez; Saborío
