Real Salt Lake drew 0-0 with New England last night to open the Desert Diamond Cup, and though you couldn't really, well, see the whole of it unless you happened to be there, highlights do give us something to talk about.
The lineup was rotated in the 60th minute; that group that saw less time (and those who were not involved) will almost certainly see time in the next match, save those who are out with injury.
We do get to see some interesting attacking moments in the highlights, including a couple fantastic runs from Tony Beltran. One of those was on a corner, in which he found a shot that was parried behind by the goalkeeper — it's difficult to say if this is a sign of things to come, but full backs pushing forward on set pieces could make sense.
Beltran was replaced in the 30th minute by Ryan Neil.
