OK, it is halftime and the score is 1-1 at CommunityAmerica Ballpark. Real Salt Lake have struggled with the narrow pitch which clearly impacts how they are used to playing, they gave up a goal on a great header by Kei Kamara who was left open inside the RSL area, but they were able to battle back and get the equalizer on a great header by Robbie Findley.
RSL will need to find more possession and adjust to the narrow pitch in the second half if they are going to look for the win. I don't think Saborio has had more than 2-3 touches in the first half as RSL was on their heels for much of it, we will need to get the ball to him in the KC end of the pitch as he has the ability to keep possession and turn well against defenders. The usual effort of attacking up the sides is hampered by the width and by the fact that KC is doing a great job of attacking 50-50 balls and clogging up the passing lanes.
Well the second half was better for Real Salt Lake, but not good enough to secure the full 3 points. I thought the passing and possession was better for RSL in the second half, they found room and were able to create more chances that KC could but neither side was able to find the back of the net as the match ended 1-1.
