OK, here you go, feel free to add your comments and thoughts on the match. I will be doing some updates during the match.
RSL starting lineup: Rimando, Russell, Olave, Borchers, Wingert, Warner, Beckerman, Johnson, Williams, Findley, and Saborio.
Well the first 15 minutes were fairly even and right as I got ready to post this, A great restart by TFC and just at the 20 minute mark RSL gives up a goal and find themselves down 1-0, of course that has been the trend for RSL in CCL matches. This makes the scoreless streak at BMO something RSL must overcome if they want to get the result tonight.
more after the jump:
OK the replay of the shot by Peterson that scored, that was impressive. He got to the right side of Wingert and fired a crack shot that even the sprawling Nick Rimando couldn't get to.
Well RSL really didn't create many good scoring chances and it looks like the team is having some issues adjusting to Collen Warner in the offensive midfield role. I am noticing a lot of plays going around him despite his being open and in good position, RSL is going to need to use everyone if they are going to get back into this match and secure their spot in the quarterfinals of the CCL. Who will be the one to get RSL's first ever goal at BMO field?
Well RSL has found a way to get not only their first goal ever at BMO field, on a great set piece by Javier Morales, that could have easily been a PK and red card for de Guzman who tried to block it with an out stretched arm, but it went into the back of the net and the score is now tied up 1-1. There are 20 minutes left and RSL will need to stay focused as TFC will be trying everything they can to get back in front of this match, but that could open up some counter attacking chances for RSL as well. This is going to be fun to watch.
