Real Salt Lake has selected former Columbus Crew midfielder Cole Grossman in the 2012 MLS Waiver Draft as the only club to make a waiver draft pick.
Grossman, a graduate of Duke University was signed by Columbus Crew in 2011, playing two games in his first year with the club and 10 (with five starts) in his second. The midfielder also scored one goal in a 2-2 draw against Houston Dynamo in August.
According to a club press release, Grossman will join the club for pre-season training as RSL looks to bolster its midfield after waiving homegrown midfielder Nico Muñiz.
He was the only player selected in today's waiver draft.
