Real Salt Lake has shipped SLC native Justin Braun to Toronto FC in exchange for defender Aaron Maund.

The long string of exits from Real Salt Lake has continued as forward Justin Braun, with the club for a scant six months, has been traded to Toronto FC in exchange for defender Aaron Maund.

Maund, a 2012 SuperDraft pick, started 9 times in his rookie season for Toronto FC; eight of those starts came in the last nine matches of the season for the struggling Canadian side.

Braun's exit comes on the back of a lackluster campaign with RSL: Despite largely being fit, the SLC native saw the pitch only twice in first team action.

Come March, Toronto FC will be the third club for which Braun has plied his trade in less than a year's time after starting 2012 with Montreal Impact.

Braun hasn't scored in MLS play since Sept. 24, 2011 — ironically, against Toronto FC while he was plying his trade with Chivas USA.

The move comes on the back of four other confirmed exits at Real Salt Lake, as Paulo Jr., Emiliano Bonfigli, Jonny Steele and Kyle Reynish were all released.
