This story incorrectly stated that RSL would play the U-21s — they will, in fact, play the U-20s.
Real Salt Lake will face the Denmark U-20s as part of their pre-season preparations in Casa Grande, Ariz. on Jan. 28, club sources confirmed today.
The match will take place at Grande Sports Academy at 11:30 a.m. MST. The club returns to Salt Lake City later that afternoon. The match will not be televised; however, as it isn't a closed-doors friendly, an opportunity to attend does present itself.
On Jan. 31, the club travels to Irvine, Calif., for further preparations at University of California—Irvine, then returns to Arizona — this time to Tucson at Kino Sports Complex — for the Desert Diamond Cup, when they'll face New York Red Bulls, Seattle Sounders, and New England Revolution. Those matches are set to be televised or streamed, with the final broadcast live on NBC Sports.
Denmark's U-21 side failed to qualify for the 2013 U-21 European Championship.
More details are set to be announced on the preseason match soon.
