Real Salt Lake trained today at Rio Tinto Stadium in preparation for the first leg of this year's Rocky Mountain Cup against the Colorado Rapids.
Training today for RSL was a light session, with nearly everyone participating. A brief warm up lead to passing exercises and some shooting. The team seemed relaxed and appeared to be enjoying themselves in the amazing weather at Rio Tinto Stadium.
Nat Borchers participated fully in today's training session, while Chris Wingert rode a stationary bike nearly the entire session. (Ed. note: Borchers is not expected to dress for the match but has a chance to be in the reserves match as he works his way back to full fitness.)
David Viana was receiving treatment after warm ups and worked with Tyson Pace for the remainder of the session. No Javi sightings. (Ed. note: Javier Morales was seeing a team doctor in regard to his injury; no further complications are expected at this point, but as always, updates will be provided once available.)
Jason Kreis also took some time to talk to fans who had gathered to watch the training session.
