When Last They Met: RSL 0-0 Vancouver Whitecaps, Oct. 27

Vancouver Whitecaps may have started their season with two strong matches, but one point from their last three games might encourage RSL fans. When they last met, the match ended in RSL's third consecutive scoreless draw across all competitions.

This match is notable for a few reasons. It was Kyle Reynish's final RSL appearance, undoubtedly a sending-off for him as RSL's regular drew came to a close.

Ned Grabavoy, ever the effective midfielder, sent in fantastic service throughout the night, giving Saborio two distinct chances.

RSL's inability to score haunted them before the playoffs — and after the CONCACAF Champions League group stage exit — and that form should have improved. That form may not have carried over into 2013, but there's a live perception that it did.

All told, RSL ended the season with five consecutive games of not scoring. It clearly wasn't good enough.
