Real Salt Lake will officially be represented in women's soccer after announcing today that Salt Lake United FC would be renamed Real Salt Lake Women SC, according to a press release.

As part of the arrangement, RSL Women will play at Rio Tinto Stadium three times, each time preceding an MLS match: May 25, June 8 and July 3. The team's other home matches will be at Jordan High School in Sandy, Utah.

Like Salt Lake United, RSL Women will play in the semi-professional WPSL, a league that consists of eight regions. RSL will play in the Big Sky South Conference with 14 to 18 regular season games. Two other WPSL sides play in Utah: Utah Starzz, in Provo, and St. George United, tucked in the southwestern corner of the state.

Tryouts will take place for current college players on May 10 at Jordan High School. More information is available at RealSaltLakeWomen.com.

Salt Lake United formerly played as Sparta United Women's Team.
