We haven't faced off against LA Galaxy for a fair bit of time — since October — which is a bit of a shame, because those matches are, well, brilliant. They really should start scheduling these matches every three or four weeks, I think. Maybe.
The last one saw two great goals from Fabian Espindola, as well as a screamer from Robbie Keane. The sorts of goals we got from Fabian Espindola are exemplified in this match: A long run leading to a perfectly placed shot against former-Galaxy (and present-us) goalkeeper Josh Saunders.
The starting lineup that match: Rimando; Beltran, Borchers, Olave, Wingert; Beckerman, Steele, Gil, Morales; Saborio Espindola. Subs: Schuler, Alvarez, Paulo Jr.
Of those who started, Rimando, Beltran, Borchers, Wingert, Beckerman, Gil, Morales and Saborio are available for selection. Beckerman is in doubt with a dislocated rib, Wingert is still not entirely fit, and Gil is dealing with lingering ankle trouble. Of the subs, Schuler is dealing with a broken hand but could play, while Yordany Alvarez could be selected from the start if there are doubts about Beckerman.
Fabian Espindola, Jamison Olave and Jonny Steele are all playing for New York Red Bulls, while Paulo Jr. most recently played for Vancouver Whitecaps but has been waived.
