Enzo Martinez, playing in his first professional match last night, scored late for the Carolina Railhawks against Minnesota United to draw his side level at 2-2.
The goal, a screamer from distance, saw Martinez receive the ball deep in the midfield, muscle off a player, and fire a long shot that left the Minnesota keeper stumbling. He'd only been in the match for seven minutes before scoring, entering as a late substitute for his debut.
Martinez is on a short-term loan with the Railhawks and seems likely remain through the whole of May. All involved at Real Salt Lake will be hoping the appearance and goal will help him push forward in his development.
