Player ratings versus Portland

Rimando dedicated his game to the Goalkeeper of the Year award committee.

Susan Ragan-USA TODAY Sports

Nick Rimando - 9 What a game from Rimando. Just when you thought he had made every impossible save out there, he made a couple more. His quickness and intuition are absolutely incredible to behold. This performance should solidify his goalkeeper of the year status.

Chris Wingert - 7 Wingert had a few bad giveaways but made up for it with a few comeback saves later on.

Nat Borchers - 7 As Borchers might have lost more brain cells than he was planning on with all of the crosses he thwarted with his head. Nice game from the bearded one.

Carlos Salcedo - 6.5 Salcedo did not back down in a high pressure game and he brought the physicality to the Timbers time and again.

Tony Beltran - 6.5 Tony did well in defense to not allow a desperate team to get too many chances and got up and down the field enough times to made the most fit of the players fatigued.

Kyle Beckerman - 7 Beckerman was tenacious and won a ton of balls back for RSL. He kept Valeri in check multiple times as well which is no small task.

Javier Morales - 6 This was a nice bounce back game from Morales after having a week off due to suspension. He was very creative at times but was unable to make a goal happen. He took a beating out there in the process.

Luis Gil - 6.5 Gil had a nice game and created some good scoring chances but was unable to get the ball off unfortunately.

Ned Grabavoy - 6 This was a relatively quiet game from Grabavoy but he put in a full night's work.

Sebastian Jaime - 5 This was a quiet game for Jaime. A little too quiet in fact. There was nothing notable from him besides his commitment to help the team on defense.

Robbie Findley - 5.5 Findley could have done much better with a chance or two that he had. He was pushing to score and helped with the possession game.

Substitutes

Joao Plata - 5 Plata looked like he couldn't get himself into the flow of the game. He had one chance that left us wanting since he skied it, but shortly after he came on, Portland threw numbers forward.

Alvaro Saborio - 5.5 Saborio did a good job holding up the ball but much like the other forwards was unable to make much happen.

Cole Grossman - N/A
