Today, now: Seattle Sounders v. LA Galaxy: The winner wins the Shield, the loser ends in second place and will face whoever ends in third place. That could be us — who would we rather face?
Today, 6:30 p.m., Portland Timbers v. FC Dallas: If FC Dallas wins, we'll be ending in fourth place, but anything but, and we'll end in third place. Quite exciting, isn't it? If Portland wins, they'll have a shot at making the playoffs, but a Vancouver win later over Colorado Rapids would change all of that.
Tonight at 8 p.m., Vancouver takes on Colorado, and with a win, Vancouver would lock themselves into a playoff position. With a loss or a draw, they leave themselves open to Portland passing them.
If Dallas wins, we'll have to play a play-in game, and it would be against whoever finishes in fifth — Portland, Vancouver, who really cares? Neither team will make it easy for us.
Several matches decide our fate. What will happen?
