Week 30 Power Ranking Averages - 'Caps up, RSL down

Averages from 8 sites saw the Whitecaps rise 4 and RSL drop 3 for the week. D.C. moves up one on the season ranking.

Season Average Power Ranking
One change on the table for Week 30.  Once again D.C. moved up, bumping Toronto down to 8th.  The remaining few weeks should see only a few more potential changes.  L.A. should overtake SKC for 3rd where they will remain, DC will reach it's high at 6th after passing Vancouver, CLB, NY and NE will continue to jockey for position between 9-11.  The bottom of the table is pretty well set.

  • In the weekly averages 7 teams have been ranked 1st (Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New England, Salt Lake, Seattle, Kansas City), and 4 teams have placed last (Chivas, D.C., Houston, Montreal).
  • In the season averages 2 teams have been ranked 1st (Salt Lake, Seattle), and 2 teams last (D.C., Montreal).
  • Houston has the distinction of being the only team to be ranked both first and last in the weekly rankings, with New England close behind with first and 2nd to last.  D.C. has risen from last to a high of 2nd.
  • D.C. has moved the most on the season rankings, rising 12 positions since Wk 5.
  • Four teams have not placed higher weekly than 10th (Chicago, Chivas, Montreal, San Jose).
  • Two teams have not placed lower weekly than 10th (Salt Lake, Seattle).
