RSL tie at home, head to L.A.

Chances came and went for RSL at Rio Tinto.

It was a feisty match from the beginning whistle with the ref "letting them play." The Galaxy controlled the match for the first 20 minutes when a nice play from Luis Gil sparked RSL and gave them some momentum in the match. It woke the crowd up as well and Salt Lake strung together quite a few half chances that they were unable to finish.

The second half was similar to the first but RSL was pressuring more. Jaime Pineda came up with a nice save on a shot from Joao Plata and Real's frustration was starting to set in as the clock ticked away. Nat Borchers came up big on Robbie Keane a couple times which could have put RSL in a bad position heading to L.A. Alvaro Saborio had a decent chance in the 82nd minute but Pineda got his hands on it at the far post. The game ended knotted at zero and the series continues on California.
