Grabavoy, Mulholland start against LA Galaxy | Lineups and discussion

Russ Isabella-USA TODAY Sports

It's perhaps not too surprising, but Luke Mulholland and Ned Grabavoy return to Real Salt Lake's starting lineup tonight against LA Galaxy.

The only surprise comes because Luis Gil was very good last week, having one of the best games he's ever had — in his career, not just this season. But Luke Mulholland had a solid game, too, and Ned Grabavoy was always likely to return to the starting lineup.

Luis Gil has a chance of being called upon, though, especially with there being a distinct possibility that this match could go to extra time. As a more attacking option on the bench, too, Gil has distinct value. He shouldn't look at it as being dropped, of course, because that happened near the beginning of the season. It's not exactly a new thing.

There are no other surprises to the lineup.

Real Salt Lake lineup

Bench: Attinella, Salcedo, Grossman, Velasquez, Gil, Jaime, Findley
