In tonight's match against San Jose Earthquakes, Luis Gil will start at the top of the diamond for Javier Morales, who is absent from this match through a back injury, and Luke Mulholland has done enough to earn his first start for the club.
It is unclear when Morales became injured, but Gil will relish the opportunity to start in what is arguably his most natural position on the pitch.
Luke Mulholland, who came off the bench against LA Galaxy and scored a goal that was taken away for one of the worst offside calls in recent memory, will start in the side of the diamond alongside Ned Grabavoy.
John Stertzer and Cole Grossman are on the bench and will both have been in contention for that starting position. Jordan Allen and Olmes Garcia are arguably the two most attacking substitutes.
As expected, Chris Schuler remains out of the starting lineup, but somewhat surprisingly, he hasn't traveled for the match. Aaron Maund continues at center back alongside Nat Borchers, while Carlos Salcedo is on the bench.
