Nick Rimando - 7 Rimando came up big a couple times and sacrificed the body a couple more. It turns out he can't save every penalty kick.
Tony Beltran - 6 Tony continues to impress with his skill on the ball and fills his role on this team admirably, the Vancouver game was no exception.
Chris Schuler - 6.5 Schuler busted out some moves that we hadn't seen before and was able to get around some defenders in a tight spot. He is improving with every game.
Nat Borchers - 7 Mattocks learned what it means to fear the beard. Unfortunately, the ref did not.
Chris Wingert - 4.5 Wingert is uncharacteristically giving the ball away this season in bad spots. The worst of those led to the sole Vancouver goal.
Kyle Beckerman - 8 Beckerman was a rock as usual on the defensive end, but his passing was incredible a few times on the night. He assisted on the Plata goal and set Findley up on a long distance pass that was nearly impossible.
Ned Grabavoy - 7 Grabavoy puts in the work and gives the RSL midfield a bit more muster and grit. I think that has been lacking over the past six or seven games.
Luis Gil - 4.5 Gil had a couple of great looks that he knew he could have done much better to test the keeper. This game epitomized his season so far - he shows moments of greatness and then disappears or loses focus.
Javier Morales - 5.5 Morales was lacking on his corner kicks but did pretty well with his free kicks. Go figure.
Devon Sandoval - 6.5 Sandoval came through when he needed to hold up the ball and had a couple of passes that led to goal-scoring opportunities (ie. key passes.) A good night's shift.
Joao Plata - 7.5 Plata has really come through for RSL in a big way this year and he came through in a big way again to earn a point for Salt Lake against the 'Caps. Hopefully he doesn't celebrate one of his upcoming goals with a "check signing."
SUBSTITUTES
Robbie Findley - 7 Bringing Findley on was a game changer. He brought some speed up front that RSL desperately needed. In fact, they play much differently when Findley is in the lineup and I would argue they look their best and most dangerous when Findley is on the field and 100% healthy.
Luke Mulholland - 7.5 Mulholland looked like a breath of fresh air in the attacking midfield role. He has got a lot of skill and creativity that we discover a bit more all the time. If that bicycle kick had gone in, Rio Tinto Stadium would have exploded.
Olmes Garcia - 6 Garcia worked really hard, but also got caught in the way once or twice. Overall, he looked pretty decent.
