Player ratings against Seattle

Morales had a great showing on the road in a tough loss on the road.

Steven Bisig-USA TODAY Sports

Nick Rimando - 6 Rimando came up with a couple of big saves, but at the end of the day three goals got past him. I felt like he could have stopped the second Seattle goal. Overall, a bit unlucky.

Chris Wingert - 5.5 It seems like there was some miscommunication issues with both of the outside backs. WIngert did well on some plays and not so well on others.

Chris Schuler - 7 Schuler did really well to contain Martins for the better part of the match, but also got beat a couple times. He did just as much or more to set up the play on the Morales goal and deserves credit for that.

Nat Borchers - 5.5 Borchers got beat on more than one occasion and forced the ref to make a decision that put RSL in a tough position for about 25 minutes which proved to be too much for them.

Tony Beltran - 6 Beltran had some bright moments, but also seemed to be having communication or assignment issues.

Kyle Beckerman - 7 Beckerman had a good game and broke up a lot of plays but some passes got away from him uncharacteristically.

Ned Grabavoy - 6.5 Grabavoy did what Grabavoy does and put in a good night of work but in my estimation looked fatigued or possible took a more serious knock than he was leading on.

Luke Mulholland - 7 Mulholland had a great assist to set up Morales on the first goal but was fairly quiet outside of that.

Javier Morales - 8 A goal and an assist is a great game, especially on the road. He took some hits and kept doing a lot to create. Nice game from the veteran.

Robbie Findley - 6.5 FIndley did not have much to give in the way of scoring chances, but he did as well as anyone to hold up the ball and keep possession on the road which is a tough task.

Joao Plata - 7 Plata had a nice, albeit lucky goal that equalized for RSL. Beyond that, he did a nice job of holding up play.

Substitutes

Alvaro Saborio - 6 Saborio had a pretty quiet night but did give RSL some nice free kick opportunities under difficult circumstances. In fairness, for the majority of his time on the field they were down a man.

Carlos Salcedo - 6 Salcedo came on under tough circumstances but does look very confident after his time with Mexico.

Cole Grossman - 5.5 Grossman also came on in a tough spot but he looked a bit lost on the last scoring play for Seattle.
