Sebastian Jaime started his first match for Real Salt Lake in a 5-1 win over Colorado Rapids, and much like we evaluated his first appearance for the club, it’s only fitting that we take a look at some of the immense positives from last Friday as well.
What we have here is a time-ordered collection of GIFs illustrating what Jaime did so well with on his first start for the club. We’ll see him repeatedly dropping deep to help regain possession and to apply pressure from behind the line of play. We’ll see him getting into dangerous positions. We’ll even see him helping to create a couple goals.
That he’s done all this in his first start for RSL is somewhat remarkable. He’s looking very comfortable with his teammates, and he’s making it difficult to not start him. He’s not there yet, obviously, but the signs are certainly pointed in the right direction.
For all the hype he had when rumors of his arrival started swirling, he's adapting quite well. This run to the playoffs will be an interesting one.
