Real Salt Lake will announce a new multi-year television deal on Friday.
A club press release offers no details on the nature of the deal. The club's deal with Utah's ABC affiliate, KTVX, had expired; there is as yet no indication that the deal has been renewed.
The previous deal included Real Salt Lake receiving no money outright for the rights but taking home a significant share of advertising revenue.
This deal is reportedly "substantial," according to a vague report from Philadelphia-area report Jonathan Tannenwald.
Some folks I know and saw at the NSCAA Convention told me that RSL's TV deal is quite substantial. I couldn't shake too many details though.

Whatever the case, the deal will almost certainly be significantly better than at current. The deal is set to be announced at 11:30 a.m. at the cafe at 50 West Broadway — at Broadway Media Tower owned by RSL owner Dell Loy Hansen.
