The domestic leagues in Chile and the United States will be at the forefront of today's match pitting the two against each other, but the talk will largely be of a new look for the U.S.: a 3-5-2 with Jermaine Jones in the middle of a three-man backline.

If you're so inclined, Real Salt Lake will be hosting a watch party on the big screen at Rio Tinto Stadium, too, but you might run the risk of getting wet — there's a chance of showers today.

TV schedule: United States v. Chile, 4 p.m. MST

Real Salt Lake connections

  • Nick Rimando is vying for the number one spot for the United States, and he's almost certainly the number one today. Sean Johnson of Chicago Fire and Jon Kempin from  Sporting KC are probably behind him, with Kempin a player brought in to benefit the 2016 Olympics team.
  • Luis Gil is in both to benefit the Olympics team and because he's one of the promising young players for the States. It's hard to say how much time he gets, but he'll probably play at some point.
