Luis Gil and Nick Rimando have been named to Jurgen Klinsmann's January camp, which focuses on MLS and American players. The camp takes place from Jan. 12 to Feb. 8, meaning it will cut into Real Salt Lake's preseason.
Kyle Beckerman is not involved, having told Jurgen Klinsmann that he would like to stay at Real Salt Lake and focus on the club situation, given the degree of change involved in the offseason.
Both Gil and Rimando were involved in the January camp in 2014. Chris Schuler continues his longstanding history of not receiving call-ups despite being one of the best center backs in Major League Soccer. Schuler was slated to be involved last year, but opted out after having a surgery that kept him out of preseason.
