Elias Vasquez, Guatemalan international defender, has officially joined Real Salt Lake, according to an Instagram post from the club.
It's unclear at this point what Vasquez's contract length and terms are, and as usual, those certainly won't be released.
Vasquez, 22, was first reported to be joining Real Salt Lake on Jan. 15 by Washington Post reporter Steven Goff.
He joined Real Salt Lake early in preseason and played 60 minutes in the first Desert Diamond Cup match, during which he was particularly impressive.
Vasquez is a well-established Guatemalan international, having earned 25 caps, including four in World Cup qualifying. Additionally, he has CONCACAF Champions League experience with Guatemalan outlet Comunicaciones.
Despite signing, he won't be added to the roster until he receives his international transfer certificate and P1 visa.
