Sebastian Jaime is set to miss some short-term action after suffering a fractured tibia in the 2-1 win over Toronto FC, according to a report from Salt Lake Tribune reporter Chris Kamrani. RSL Communications confirmed the injury, and a projected 10-14 day absence is expected.
RSL coach Jeff Cassar told Kamrani that Jaime would be in pain for around 10 days, but it isn't projected to keep him out in the long-term.
In the short-term, this almost certainly opens a spot for Jordan Allen to continue impressing in the lineup, having scored his first goal on Saturday.
And if you're wondering for some reason, no — this is not an April Fools' Day joke.
Jeff Cassar said Sebastian Jaime suffered a fracture in his tibia Sunday. Said it isn't a serious break, but Jaime miss some time. #RSL
