The community player ratings are in, and we've got to say — they don't look kindly on Real Salt Lake in the 1-0 loss to Vancouver Whitecaps. Home losses will do that to you.
Some questions to dwell on as you go about looking over the numbers:
- Was Alvaro Saborio really as bad as a 4.67 suggests? His finishing was awful, but his hold-up play was approaching sublime.
- What about Luis Gil? What did he do so badly that led to a 4.68? Is this a case of scapegoating, or was he genuinely pretty awful?
- While Jamison Olave did get sent off for a second yellow card, was a low rating a result of that? Or was it more about his marking on the goal conceded?
