Boyd Okwuonu is one of 19 players called up to the United States under-23 team for the 2015 Toulon Tournament in France, continuing his run with the pre-Olympics squad.
The team, which which mixes MLS players and Europe-based players with a smattering of unattached prospects (Will Packwood and Dan Metzger), will compete in the first group of the tournament.
That group includes Costa Rica, France, Netherlands, and Qatar. The top teams from each group will play in a final on June 7, while the second-place teams from each will play in a third-place final.
Okwuonu has yet to appear for Real Salt Lake, but he's been a near-constant on the U.S. U-23 roster. At this rate, he is probably more likely to appear at Rio Tinto in CONCACAF Olympics qualifying than he is with RSL, given he's firmly behind MLS veteran Tony Beltran in the selection for right back.
