Predict the lineup: RSL v. Chicago Fire

Matt Marton-USA TODAY Sports

Think you know who starts for RSL against Chicago Fire? Think you can be one of the few to get it right this week? Well, here's your chance.

Last week

Nobody got it right — again. The formation change certainly provoked that, but also the presence of Devon Sandoval was a confounding factor. So — better luck next time, as always.

This week

Some team news:

  • The club-produced match preview shows RSL in a 4-1-3-2 — that's the best estimation of how RSL played last weekend, but you could probably call it a diamond if you wanted — without Javier Morales, who is out with concussion.
  • Sebastian Jaime is listed definitively as 'out'.
  • As expected, Joao Plata and Chris Schuler are both still out for this one.
  • Jordan Allen will be available, and we'd anticipate he'll be out for the next one as he prepares for the U-20 World Cup. Of course, we'll see if that's the case.
  • Devon Sandoval is listed in the game guide as part of the probable starting lineup, so if that's something that makes you pick him this week, maybe you have a better chance of being right.
