Morales, Rimando, and Maund showed well in a disappointing late loss.

Anne-Marie Sorvin-USA TODAY Sports

Nick Rimando - 7 Two goals found their way through the Wall of the Wasatch, although there was not much that he could do about either. I suppose Rimando could take some blame for the miscommunication on the second goal, but that would probably be a bit too generous. He did have a couple very good saves.

Abdoulie Mansally - 6 Mansally put in a solid 90 minutes, defended well, and passed well. He got a shot off as well.

Aaron Maund - 7 Maund was the most solid defender on the night with a couple of nice step-ins and saves. He got caught out of position a couple times, but overall he had a very good game.

Elias Vasquez - 4.5 It's really hard to rate someone fairly who had a pretty good game but a very costly mistake. You could see how angry he was with himself after the play which says to me that he knew he was guilty. He will likely make a few more rookie mistakes before the end of the season.

Justen Glad - 6 Glad looked very confident and crisp in his first MLS start. His poise and control on the ball was most impressive.

Kyle Beckerman - 6 Beckerman is pushing forward these days more than usual and is carrying a bit heavier load. He made some stops but his passing was not where it needed to be.

John Stertzer - 6.5 Stertzer had a shot on goal and battled for the entire time he was on the field. He committed smart fouls and was in the right position during the better part of the game. He is showing well for himself in these opportunities.

Javier Morales - 8 Morales is so fun to watch. He comes up with stuff that nobody else on the field would do and creates chances on a regular basis. That free kick goal, by the way, was top notch and worth watching a few times.

Joao Plata - 5 Plata did not have a shot in the match but did free up his colleagues. On the first Vancouver goal, Plata probably could have done better to come to the ball and prevent the shot.

Devon Sandoval - 6 Sandoval was impressive in his hold up play and in his fight. Those are the two things he will give you every game. In this game, we probably needed a bit more from him and everyone.

Sebastian Jaime - 5 Jaime did some good things to be creative in the offensive end and put in a good amount of work on defense. What's missing is a goal.

Substitutes

Olmes Garcia - 4.5 Garcia gave the ball away in the middle and put RSL in a tough spot during the multiple corner kick segment of the game. He was able to run and bring speed, but it did not have much of an effect.

Luis Gil - N/A 10 minutes is the threshold for a true rating, but he helped set up Sabo at the end to try to tie the game.

Alvaro Saborio - N/A Sabo nearly had a game tying goal, but had only six minutes to do anything.
