Nick Rimando has been named to the MLS All-Star Fan XI, which shouldn't be a surprise to Real Salt Lake fans and detractors alike.
Rimando, after all, is one of the top-shelf goalkeepers in MLS, and unlike some in the conversation around him, has been consistently good in the league for more than a few years. That's rightly won him plaudits despite his never winning MLS Goalkeeper of the Year, much to the collective dismay of basically everybody west of the Mississippi.
Rimando is the only representative of Real Salt Lake, which, the way this season is going, is more than fair.
It's his fifth pick since he was first named to the All-Star team in 2010, with only 2012 as a blank spot in his stream.
