Real Salt Lake's Arizona-based under-18s are headed to the U.S. Soccer Development Academy final after defeating San Jose Earthquakes 2-0 in a dominant display.

RSL's lead came in the 43rd minute when Aaron Herrera, right back, streaked into the box to pick off a ball that the San Jose goalkeeper had pushed only gently inside the box.

The goalkeeper was pushed into that dangerous decision when Diego Silva, left back, zipped the ball inside of the goalkeeper's six-yard box with a well-placed cross.

Amer Sejdic doubled RSL's lead from a similar spot, controlling a pass with ease after Tate Schmitt, bursting to the endline, sent a diagonal ball back deeper in the box. Sejdic's first touch was smooth, but his ensuing shot was delayed just long enough to force the goalkeeper into action, at which point he fired home without any trouble.

Real Salt Lake will play in the final on Saturday evening at StubHub Center against the winner of a match between Montreal Impact and Chicago Fire.
