Real Monarchs hope to turn recent success into a victory against OC Blues

It's been two weeks since the Real Monarchs SLC notched their second victory of the season at home versus Austin 3-1. A week and a half ago, RMSLC faced a 2-0 deficit in a friendly at BYU and came storming back to win 3-2 in Provo. These two victories have the potential to propel their team to more victories on the back half of the season.

Next up for the Monarchs is at the Orange County Blues. Their 7-8-3 record and 24 points has them one point out of the last playoff spot in the west. RMSLC are still at the bottom of the table with a 2-9-6 record, but hoping their recent victory over Austin will help them gain some momentum going forward.

In the last game versus Austin, the pairing of Mikey Orellana and Emery Welshman up top seemed to be an excellent move for head coach Freddy Juarez. The pair both scored goals in the 3-1 victory, and seemed to work well at the point of attack. It will be interesting to see what lineup Juarez selects Saturday, as Max Rauhofer returns after having to sit out the last match due to yellow card accumulation.
