The Real Monarchs are at home this Saturday night versus the Tulsa Roughnecks FC. Tulsa comes in with a 9-9-1 record this season, and has them currently in the playoff race. The Monarchs 2-11-6 record has them looking up at the rest of the league.
With no where to go but up, RMSLC will host the first of two matches against Tulsa this season. They will do so Saturday night without the services of Max Rauhofer, whose red card suspension from their previous match and a subsequent five-match suspension, will keep him out. The last time Rauhofer was suspended, the Monarchs defeated the Austin Aztex 3-1, with multiple players stepping up in his absence.
The Roughnecks are lead by striker Sammy Ochoa, who spent three seasons with the Seattle Sounders FC. He leads Tulsa with six goals. Another player to watch is Brady Ballew, who spend the last few seasons in the PDL with the Puget Sound Gunners. Tulsa will be looking to get as many points as they can, to continue in their hopes for a playoff birth.
These same to teams will play again on August 13 in Tulsa. This week's match will kickoff Saturday at 7:30 PM at Rio Tinto Stadium. You can stream it on YouTube or below. It will be broadcast on KMYU following the Real Salt Lake match.
