The Real Monarchs have appeared to hit their stride, after winning their fourth game in a row. They host the Arizona United whom they defeated last week 3-2 in Arizona. This will be their final match of the season, and a five-game winning streak would be a great way to end a rather disappointing inaugural season.
The Monarchs still sit at the bottom of the table in the west, but with a more respectable 26 points and a 6-13-8 record. Arizona are out of the playoff hunt, but sit three spots above RMSLC with a 10-14-1 record and 31 points. Arizona's Long Tan has 14 goals on the year, which is fourth best in the league.
Real Monarchs continue to be led by Max Rauhofer, who has had a habit of finding the back in most of the games he's participated in. They have also have had great contributions from various players this season, who have improved as the season has progressed. Another win would send them off on a high note going into the off season, with momentum for a better 2016.
Real Monarchs and Arizona United square off Saturday night at 4 p.m. Mountain Daylight time at Rio Tinto Stadium.
