With the release of Real Salt Lake's kit came another tidbit: Joao Plata gets the vacated #10 kit.
But that's not the only number-news the offseason has produced, and there might even be more, what with more movement coming and all that.
Plata picked up the #10 from Luis Gil, who departed on a free transfer to Queretaro this offseason, while similarly young Jordan Allen changed numbers — he's now wearing #70, at least for the preseason, with Burrito Martinez moving to #7 from #22.
And, of course, Justen Glad gave up the #14 to one Yura Movsisyan, who reclaimed his old number upon his return — the lanky defender is now wearing #15, opting to only move up a number.
The draft picks got their numbers, too — taking Burrito's old #22 is Amass Amankona, while Connor Sparrow got #50 and Max Lachowecki got the hallowed #20 shirt. Omar Holness, the one with a guaranteed first-team contract, gets #12 after it was left by Elias Vasquez.
