Nick Rimando - 5 Rimando did not have the kind of saves you come to expect from him, which is fine. But the save he had just before the second Seattle goal was not good enough. He got a paw on the ball which then deflected off of Mulholland’s face and ended up at the feet of Roldan who easily made the goal.
Chris Wingert - 4 Wingert got beat on the night a few times and they were attacking from his side regularly. But the worst was when he simply seemed to fall asleep defending Alvarez after a couple of back heel passes and Alvarez easily scored from point blank range.
Justen Glad - 6 Glad was reading the game well and kept Morris off the board which is no small task lately.
Chris Schuler - 6 Schuler was once again a nice presence in back and got his head on another set piece ball. He is rounding into the Schuler form of old.
Demar Phillips - 5.5 Phillips had some very bright moments but was not particularly dangerous in the attack.
Luke Mulholland - 6.5 The goal Mulholland had was a breath of fresh air for a club that has struggled to score over the past handful of games. He had a lucky deflection which helped, but we’ll take it. His passing, on the other hand, was not as good as it needed to be.
Kyle Beckerman - 5.5 Beckerman was aggressive as usual, but to the point of it being a bit risky sitting on a yellow. His shots weren’t very well taken, but he fought hard as he always does.
Sunny Obayan - 5.5 Sunny clearly had the task of keeping an eye on Lodeiro at all times, and he pretty well succeeded at keeping him relatively quiet.
Joao Plata - 5 Plata was having a pretty quiet night that ended with a bang when he was subbed off. He was visibly upset, and who knows exactly what is going on behind the scenes? Either way, his performance ended with two shots, neither on goal.
Jordan Allen - 6 Allen had a pretty decent showing but disappeared for long portions of the game. He was able to hold the ball up long enough in front of goal for Mulholland to get his shot off and that was the only goal of the game for RSL. He was rightfully credited with an assist.
Olmes Garcia - 5 Garcia was able to get in front of some defenders a few times but then quickly ran out of ideas.
Substitutes
Javier Morales- 5 Morales came on for about 25 minutes but didn’t accomplish much in the way of creating scoring chances.
Juan Manuel Martinez - 4.5 I don’t recall Burrito taking more than a few touches as a sub. Is that his fault or others’ fault for not finding him? Either way, not a great shift.
Yura Movsisyan - N/A
