MLS: Real Salt Lake at LA Galaxy Kelvin Kuo-USA TODAY Sports

Several weeks ago, we asked you to rate Real Salt Lake players based on their season, and you obliged us with a slew of ratings.

While we’re not revealing our selections as writers just yet — that’s coming over the next three weeks as we start our player profiles series today — we’re happy to share with you how your fellow fans voted.

Without too much further ado, here’s the list. Player profiles start today.

Are we surprised that Nick Rimando took the top spot? It’s not even particularly close, right? The list of players below a 6.0 is interesting, too — and it also reveals some of the difficulty of just assigning a player a numerical rating. Was Omar Holness really better than Chris Wingert over the course of the season? Are Phanuel Kavita and Boyd Okwuonu really around the same performance level as Olmes Garcia? There’s no easy way to answer these questions but to talk about them.
