How to watch Real Salt Lake vs. Portland in first streaming friendly of 2016

Chris Nicoll-USA TODAY Sports

Real Salt Lake faces Portland Timbers today at 11:30 a.m. as the team's preseason, for the first time, hits our screens.

There's plenty of uncertainty surrounding the team after a poor showing in 2016, and this match is the first chance we have to see any progress the team is making in that regard.

As far as a lineup is concerned, we can bank on a lineup that shifts around halftime or the 60th minute mark, but whether we see primarily a first-choice lineup or one a bit more reserved is difficult to pinpoint.

We can look back to the lineup the team threw out against Tijuana a week ago for some insight.

Lineup vs. Tijuana (4-2-1-3): Rimando; Beltran, Olave, Maund, Phillips; Beckerman, Mulholland; Martinez, Morales, Plata; Movsisyan.

There's one big change we can expect, though — that's a trialist stepping in, probably for one of Jamison Olave or Aaron Maund. Further, we'll be watching for how that player integrates with the team, if the player actually, well, plays. While that's not too a substantial 'if', it's also a reminder of the uncertainty facing the addition of a center back at this point. It may get more clear in just two hours.
