Player Ratings: Orlando City 2-2 RSL

Jonathan Dyer-USA TODAY Sports

Nick Rimando - 6 Nick had the defensive play of the game to be sure, but he shared a portion of the blame for the late meltdown.

Demar Phillips - 3.5 Phillips is no stranger to the red card and he earned another against Orlando. Had Orlando not picked up a red card of their own, that could have put RSL in an incredibly difficult position. He needs to be more controlled.

Aaron Maund - 4 Maund looked good at times with some nice steps, but he did not live up to the level of play that he brought for much of the last six to eight months. He let his mark get goal side at the end and we all know how that ended up.

Jamison Olave - 3.5 Let's be honest, Olave was not horrible for much of the match. What is troublesome is that Cyle Larin was getting the best of him more than a few times and he got the best of him when it mattered most. It's not very often that Olave gets out muschled, but he met his match in Larin. Olave is well past his prime, no doubt. Now we are left wondering if he is a liability.

Tony Beltran - 7 Beltran had a nice game against Orlando and it was fun to see him get the best of Brek Shea for most of the game. He also came up with a beautifully placed assist to give Plata the brace.

Kyle Beckerman - 7 Beckerman was all over the place and showed himself to still have plenty to give in a high intensity match. He made a lot of stops and broke up a lot of plays.

Sunny Obayan - 5 Sunny didn't have a bad game, don't misinterpret. He was unfairly pulled off to no fault of his own. Therefore, he did not have much of an effect on the game.

Javier Morales - 5.5 Morales looked like he was unable to get as involved in the attack as he would have liked. Not much in the area of highlights.

Burrito Martinez - 7.5 Martinez is a creator, plain and simple. The second Plata goal does not happen if it is not for Burrito. He has the ability to create with three defenders around him and he did just that.

Yura Movsisyan - 7 Yura demands attention and opens things up for his fellow forwards. He drew the penalty that set RSL up to take the lead in the first half and nearly had a goal of his own towards the end.

Joao Plata - 8 Plata had a couple of nice goals, one on a PK and the other off of a cross from Beltran. He was causing Orlando headaches for much of the game and lucky for us, it looks like the Plata of 2014 is back.

Substitutions

Chris Wingert - 6 Wingert came on in the first half to cover for a red card and looked pretty decent. He may be the best back up outside back in the league if he doesn't work his way into the starting spot again.

Luke Mulholland - 4.5 Luke came on when RSL was under the gun and his job was to defend. He did alright until he lost sight of Brek Shea which led to the first Orlando goal.

Olmes Garcia - N/A
