Player ratings: RSL 1-0 Colorado Rapids

Russ Isabella-USA TODAY Sports

Nick Rimando - 8 Nick Rimando was nearly solely responsible for RSL's clean sheet in the first half. He made a few saves that you love to watch as a fan and they were the type of saves that earned points for RSL.

Chris Wingert - 5.5 Wingert looked pretty good defensively but gave the ball away a few times in really bad spots that could have spelled trouble for tho home team.

Aaron Maund - 8 Maund, for me, was the man of the match. He was all everywhere he needed to be and made a save with his head that could be a contender for Save of the Week if not Save of the Year.

Justen Glad - 6.5 Glad, in his second consecutive start, looked very confident and recovered well when he got beat.

Tony Beltran - 7.5 Beltran was sharp and very sound on defense. He played the role of helping out his teammates when they needed it and was a leader on the field.

Kyle Beckerman - 6.5 It was good to see Beckerman back after suspension and national team duty and his leadership paid off. RSL had to dig deep for the three points in this one and Beckerman was leading the charge.

Sunny Obayan - 7 Sunny Sunday was really fun to watch with how he controlled the ball in tight spots and created space out of nothing. He was tenacious as usual.

Luke Mulholland - 5.5 Luke did not have the type of game he had against Kansas City, but he played well overall and put in the required effort.

Juan Manuel Martinez - 6.5 Burrito, of course, made Vine accounts blow up after he took on four defenders and came out ahead. He has an uncanny ability to create when the options look like they are completely exhausted.

Yura Movsisyan - 7 Let's be clear. Yura was ripped off and his classy goal was taken away from him. He was called offside when it was clear he was not. Yura put in as much or more work than anyone and even though he doesn't have the goal count to show for it, he is doing nearly everything right and opens things up for Plata and others.

Joao Plata - 7.5 Plata scored again and his game winning goal celebration was probably more entertaining than the goal itself which came off of a defensive error. Were it not for the faulty offisde call, he would have notched another assist as well.

Substitutions

Demar Phillips - 6 Phillips came on for Wingert and was energized. He provided speed again when needed.

Javier Morales - 7.5 Morales provided a creative spark which led to a goal soon after he came on. Also of note, he nutmegged a defender immediately after coming on.

John Stertzer - N/A
