Real Salt Lake center back Justen Glad, in for a suspended Jamison Olave, was a long shot to make an early difference against Sporting Kansas City, but that's exactly what he did.
In the 29th minute of his first start of the year, Justen Glad didn't even have to rise to score from a lofted free kick. He simply had to snap the ball in the far corner to beat former RSL goalkeeper Tim Melia.

We'll be playing this one on repeat for a bit — it was quite a good goal, after all. And it put Real Salt Lake up a goal going into the half when all expectations were not exactly positive heading into the match, with 10 absences for the visitors making things difficult.
Finally, it's worth noting that Joao Plata, who has had a hand in every RSL goal this year, grabbed the assist on the goal — his third in four games.
